Did you know that you can import General Ledger data from over 55 accounting packages into IDEA?
The latest update of IDEA 10.4.1 includes the CaseWare Accounting Package (CAP). This tool transforms the performance of your audit team by allowing you to obtain data from just about any accounting package and imports the General Ledger and Trial Balance tables directly into IDEA. Managing your client's data from multiple systems is quick, and the data is standardised.
This means increased capacity to drive a better audit.
Please note: This add-on is only compatible with IDEA 10.4.1.

Have you used ValidateABN Custom Function?

Custom Functions are user defined functions that can be created by the user or there are some available to download from the Passport. One of these custom functions is #ValidateABN which verifies an Australian Business Number (ABN). If the ABN is valid, 1 (True) is returned. If the ABN is invalid, 0 (False) is returned.
Syntax #ValidateABN(ABN ) Parameters ABN - The name of the Numeric field that contains the Australian Business Numbers
How to download Custom Functions from Passport
Custom Functions are available within CaseWare Passport. Passport can be accessed within IDEA or via your browser. You will need to Log In > Downloads Tab >IDEA Custom Functions. - Download the desired custom function from the Passport.
- From your Downloads folder, move the file (*.ideafunc) to the Custom Functions.ILB folder in the desired IDEA project. For example: C:Users[User Name]DocumentsMy IDEA DocumentsIDEA Projects[Project Name]Custom Functions.ILB (Alternatively, you can move this file to your Custom Functions folder within your Local Library.)
